MONSTERPOCALYPSE: WALKING WITH TERRASAURS.

My Terrasaurs took on David's Shadow Sun Syndicate, a couple of weeks ago.
These show the initial set up and the inital moves with Terra Khan advancing to do battle with Zor Maxim.
The two monsters soon clash. Zor Maxim is thrown into some buildings and his own units.
After a few more jousts, Terra Khan was declared the winner. We weren't able to finish the game, but I had scored more damage to Zor Maxim's two forms than received.
The following week, I took on Derek's Martian Menace with Terra Khan and company. Here is the initial set up.

A monster's eye view of the set up.

The early turns saw lots of buildings secured before Terra Khan took on Tharsis 5.

Tharsis 5 went into mega form and threw Terra Khan into buildings and units. The damage caused forced Terra Khan into mega form.
Terra Khan attacks and causes damage, but suffers fatal damage, handing victory to Derek. I am beginning to get the hang of the game again and beginning to remember why we bought into the game in the first place. The only negative is the amount of time spent looking up abilities and effects.

MONSTERPOCALYPSE.

My Wednesday group has been on a bit of a nostalgia kick recently. In Her Majesy's Name has been put back till after the spring and summer holiday season.

Monsterpocalypse http://www.monsterpocalypse.com/ has been hanging around unplayed for a few years after and initial flurry of interest about five years ago. We decided to give it a go again, a few weeks ago.
David with Lords of Cthul took on Derek with his G.U.A.R.D. force. Here is the initial set up.
The early part of the game saw a race to control buildings with units. These would give an advantage when acquiring power dice for monster combat.
The opposing monsters clash. It was a back and forth battle with lots of brawling and throws with lots of damage to buildings, units and monsters. Both ended up in their ultra form.

The game did not reach a conclusion but was absorbing. It was difficult to get used to the powers and abilities of the units and monsters as well as the effects of destroying buildings. The management of power, boost and action dice was beginning to become familiar. We will certainly have a few more games.
